The people of ancient Mesopotamia believed in a polytheistic religion or the belief in many gods. They believed that the world was a flat surface with space surrounding that and heaven above that space. The daily life of a person who lived in Mesopotamia revolved around work. Approximately 90% of people in Mesopotamia were farmers. For most people, daily life revolved around working in the fields and praying to the gods.
